<![CDATA[Every year at Christmas, HANSA-FLEX AG traditionally donates 100 euro for each foreign subsidiary to a selected charitable institution. Since we are now represented in 39 different countries, this amounts to a total of 3,900 euro, which this year will gladden hearts at the Klokanek Children's Home in Brno (Czech Republic). The Klokanek Children's Home is an independent organisation that relies entirely on donations to enable it to carry out its work. The home cares for up to 78 children ranging in age from newborn to 18. It accommodates orphans, homeless children, victims of domestic or sexual violence, those who have been abandoned by their parents or have endured other horrifying experiences. Three to four children live in a group with their attachment persons, or "aunts", as in a real family.

The donation of 3,900 euros will be used for the daily running of the institution. Besides toys and learning materials, the donation will also be used to finance events such as visits to the zoo or similar trips.]]>

With large floor stickers on the playing fields where more than 40 team encounters will take place, the system partner for hydraulics has brought about an effective form of advertising sponsorship.

During the European championship in Serbia, more than 200,000 spectators are expected to watch the games live in the stadium. TV coverage will reach several million spectators across the whole world. All the tickets for the German team's qualifying rounds were sold out weeks ago.

Handball is currently one of the most popular forms of team sport in Eastern Europe. Through sponsorship of the European championship in Serbia, HANSA-FLEX expects a further increase in the level of awareness in Germany and the European foreign organisations.]]>

As of now, anyone who wishes to can order a true-to-life 1:87 (HO) scale Herpa model of the Fluid Service vehicle from any HANSA-FLEX branch. The price has been kept as low as possible, at just € 11 (including VAT). The model is in a limited edition of just 2,500, making it an extra special item for business acquaintances, customers and collectors. Make sure you have yours while they are still available! The HANSAFLEX Fluid Service is the tried and tested way to take care of your oil effectively. More and more customers are coming to realise that clean oil in their hydraulic systems makes for smooth running in their value added chains, and they can save themselves the expense of unscheduled machinery stoppages. Because all hydraulic components in mobile and fixed systems slide on a microthin oil film seven times thinner than a human hair. Be it ever so tiny, the slightest contamination in the oil can lead to wear on moving parts, and sooner or later this can bring the system to a complete standstill. it is all the more important, then, to take good care of your oil.
The on-call vehicles of the Fluid Service are fully equipped to perform a comprehensive oil analysis on site. Our specialists can draw off a sample of the hydraulic oil while the machine is still running and analyse it there and then in the vehicle. Based on this information, which is made available to the customer without limitation, they will then advise on what is to be done next. whether a complete oil change is called for, or a bypass flow filter system should be installed, or any of a range of other steps should be taken, everything depends on the actual condition of the oil. <![CDATA[HANSA-FLEX Belgium has participated to MATEXPO, the international trade fare for machines, techniques and material for the construction industry, road-building, general industry, recycling and public works.

Over the years, Matexpo has become a permanent fixture in the world of construction machinery.

For the duration of the show, 13.5 hectares were transformed into an outdoor park where the manufacturers of machines for major road-building and civil engineering projects have been putting their best foot forward. The exhibition halls were divided up into different sections to display items such as smaller construction equipment, machines for road-building, construction vehicles, machinery and technologies for recycling and environmental purposes, cleaning machines, goods handling equipment and maintenance providers.

Our small but well organized exhibition stand gave a clear overview of all the strengths that HANSA-FLEX can offer. As the construction of our stand was very high, the logo of HANSA-FLEX was visible everywhere in the hall. The map which shows the worldwide activities of HANSA-FLEX was an attraction for many visitors.

This fair has yielded several interesting contacts with potential new customers. But also the conversations with existing customers were useful, we had the opportunity to explain our wide range of products.

During this fair our sales reps also visited the other exhibitors, which resulted in a few good contacts. We look back on a succesfull exhibition. During the following weeks our sales reps are going to visit the new contacts and hopefully this results in many new projects.]]>

<![CDATA[At the beginning of this year, HANSA-FLEX carried out its fourth customer satisfaction analysis. A comparison of these results with previous surveys shows that a gratifyingly large number of customers took part. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all of our customers who responded. We would like to discuss the most important points of the survey in the following:The high level of satisfaction of our customers compared with previous surveys is unmistakable. For example, over 95 percent of those surveyed would choose HANSA-FLEX as a business partner again, which reflects previous surveys allowing for only a slight variation. Another feature of the trust our customers have placed in our services is shown clearly by the length of our business relations. HANSA-FLEX has been cooperating with more than 64 percent for over six years, and for over ten years with 38.5 percent. Most of the almost 1,800 participants responded to our request for constructive criticism. The points of criticism that were mentioned most often were insufficient ability to deliver and unsatisfactory complaints management. We are addressing these criticisms. Specifically with regard to our ability to deliver, we instituted a comprehensive set of measures designed to improve this situation even before embarking on the survey. For example we have intensified our activities regarding the requalification of existing suppliers and the initial qualification of subcontractors worldwide. And we are addressing the other points of criticism with the implementation of a range of directed internal measures. The survey has also revealed that interest among customers for an online shop has increased very dramatically. In this respect too, we have already taken steps to respond to this wish as early as possible. We intend to carry out the next customer satisfaction analysis as early as 2012, but certainly no later than 2013. The questionnaire for the next survey will be changed in several different respects.

<![CDATA[As a foretaste to the XWORLD South America which kicks off in June, we are demonstrating to our visitors a VW Amarok which has been converted for the off-road tour - one of six vehicles set to roll across South America in just a few months' time.

In order to meet the demands of this long tour, all the Amaroks had to be specially converted for the XWORLD. For example, the chassis has been raised by 25 millimetres and the cars fitted with suitable MT tyres. To enable the vehicles to cross any rivers they encounter, they have been equipped with snorkels and special cyclone filters while a reinforced underride guard and cargo cover will enable the Amaroks to traverse even tough terrain undamaged. Anyone who has booked to take part in one of the 16 stages can hop in for a trial at the show.]]>

<![CDATA[What was announced with great ceremony at the end of July at Bremen's venerable old Park Hotel is now official. With its entry in the register of companies, HANSA-FLEX is now trading as a (non-listed) joint-stock corporation. With this change to the corporate form, Europe's leading systems provider in fluid technology is reflecting the major growth it has experienced in recent years.

The startling rate at which HANSA-FLEX has grown in the last few years can best be demonstrated with a few salient figures. In June 2006, there were 162 offices in Germany, today there are 192. Globally, the number of offices has risen from 285 to the current figure of 355. The number of FLEXXPRESS vehicles has almost doubled in the last four years.

When a company grows as rapidly as ours, its internal structures must occasionally be changed to reflect its altered status. In 2009, two HANSA-FLEX subsidiaries, HANSA-FLEX Metallschläuche GmbH in Boffzen and K+S Hydraulik GmbH, were integrated fully in the parent corporation, HANSA-FLEX Hydraulik GmbH, thereby creating a clearer corporate structure. This step has also enabled us to simplify internal processes, and thus save costs.

With the construction of the second central warehouse in Geisenfeld, which came into operation this year, HANSA-FLEX is also reflecting the organic growth in the Group and ensuring that all HANSA-FLEX products can be delivered to our customers even faster.

The change from HANSA-FLEX Hydraulik GmbH to HANSA-FLEX AG represents another logical step in reflecting this growth. However, HANSA-FLEX shares will not be traded on the stock exchange. This new corporate form is rather what is known as a "Familien-AG", the shares of which are held by the Armerding and Buschmann families.

One of the main objectives of this step is to streamline the internal structures of the company so that employees can be deployed in a more targeted fashion. This will make the company's operations more efficient and this will benefit the customer. "By converting the company to HANSA-FLEX AG, we are also reinforcing the central management of the Group as a whole. The AG corporate form clearly reflects our claim that we offer the best services to our customers and will give us the opportunity to operate even more efficiently in the future," says chief executive Thomas Armerding.

The new HANSA-FLEX AG:

Members of the Board: Thomas Armerding (chairman), Uwe Buschmann (vice-chairman), Dieter H. Seidler (finance director)
Members of the Supervisory Board: Tim Hollweg (chairman), Gisbert Loosen, Jörg Buschmann, Günter Buschmann (honorary member of the Supervisory Board), Joachim Armerding (honorary member of the Supervisory Board)

The share capital: The new company's share capital is 15 million euros. The capital is owned by the Armerding and Buschmann families.]]>

<![CDATA[Financial year 2009 was a difficult one, and HANSA-FLEX was not unaffected. The company was not able to match its growth of several preceding years. But: HANSA-FLEX did post a profit even for the 2009 business year, a rarity in the market. That is a good sign, but we cannot rest on our laurels. It is precisely in difficult financial times that we must look to our lifeblood. Because: lifeblood is our philosophy – our passion. We pour it into our work – every day. It infuses our projects with energy and vitality. It helps us to carry out our tasks that critical little bit better, so that we complete an order not only to our total satisfaction, but most importantly to that of our customers. Because our customers‘ satisfaction is a matter of the heart for us. This manifests itself in every facet of our business: There is passion at work when our fitter teams and mobile services respond to calls on the weekend or in the middle of the night to complete an order. It is the drive that inspires our technical consultants to find the best solution for a customer. It is the commitment our employees demonstrate when they carry on working after the end of their shift to get the job done. Our lifeblood pulses through every thread of the tasks we undertake. This is why our products and services are at the heart of the fluid technology installations for over 300,000 customers all over the world. To be present locally for our customers through a global branch network. This is our credo. Our 350 branches in 33 countries ensure that we are there for our customers at all times. With 225 service vans in all, the FLEXXPRESS fleet guarantees fastest response times – we strive constantly to be as close to our customers as possible. It takes commitment of this lifeblood to an undertaking to achieve more than others. It takes an inner desire to turn a profession into a vocation. It takes passion to become Europe‘s leading systems provider for fluid technology. Like Hermann Gmeiner, founder of the SOS Children‘s Villages, we also know: ‘Everything big in our world only comes true when somebody does more than he has to do.’ At HANSA-FLEX, we strive to bring about something big every day – that is our lifeblood.

Of the 22 participating teams, 15 represented German branches. The other seven HANSA-FLEX teams travelled from the Czech Republic, Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Austria, and Rumania. After a tough round of preliminary matches, in which the teams were divided into two groups, the top two teams in each group were through to the semi-finals. Group 1 was very close. In this group, the team from HANSA-FLEX headquarters was edged out of the top two by Oldenburg and Dresden-Weixdorf, both of which had just a one-point advantage. In the semi-finals, Oldenburg faced Weiterstadt from group 2. The northerners won this encounter quite comfortably, 4:0. In the second semi-final, the team from Weixdorf dispatched Schönebeck 2:0 to earn a place in the final. In the exciting final between Weixdorf and Oldenburg, the teams were still level at full time. The competition had to be decided on penalties. The Weixdorf eleven ultimately earned their title, winning the final by the closest of margins, 8:7. A strategic gap in the Hamburg – Bremen – Bremerhaven triangle has been closed with the new facility at Cuxhaven. During the last two-and-a-half years, HANSA-FLEX has grown by 50 new branches.
