Bronze success on high waves and rapid race to catch up on two wheels

Wild on waves

Numerous victories and top placings at world and European championships (3x gold and 2x silver at world championships as well as 3x gold, 2x silver, 1x bronze at European championships in the disciplines classic and sprint) prove: the 35-year-old Croatian Igor Gojić has been a prominent competitor in international whitewater racing for over 15 years. On the water things can't be wild enough for him: Whether sprint, medium distance or marathon - the workshop technician from HANSA-FLEX's Zagreb branch is fully committed to fighting fast currents, sharp rocks and changing weather conditions at wildwater canoeing.

As an amateur who works full-time, he usually has only one training session a day. “I can often make up for a lack of training with experience,” says Gojić, who has been a member of the Croatian national team for almost 20 years. The canoeist appreciates the fact that his employer supports him with the flexible distribution of working hours. The topic of hydraulics stays with Gojić even outside the Zagreb branch – his canoe has a HANSA-FLEX logo. With the new boat he recently won the bronze medal in the team sprint of this year's World Championship in Seu d'Urgell, Spain – a great success!

Rapid race to catch up

Also our fastest service technician Jonathan Bendig loves speed, so he once again played with the nerves of his spectators at the last race of the motorcycle championship 2019 in Assen (Holland). After a failed qualifying run with the wrong tyre he started from 21st place of 29 into the final two races. Here he fought an exciting overtaking hunt with his competitors. At the first attempt he already catched the 14th place, at the last race he made up a proud nine placements and finished the run on 12th place.

Jonathan Bendig would have liked to have continued in this race to clear the field further from behind, but then also this OW-Cup 2019 ended with the chequered flag.

We are proud of our fast colleagues and look forward to the upcoming races!
